Latin Gold Records is a curated vinyl record shop specializing in Latin music and diverse genres from around the world. Founded on family heritage and a passion for music, Latin Gold Records emerged from a personal connection to the former Downtown Los Angeles Latin Gold jewelry store where my parents worked and met in the 1980s. This heritage shapes my mission to curate and share music that creates meaningful connections at accessible prices. I believe that record collecting shouldn't just be a transaction you make but an experience you love.

Latin Gold Records is built on personal connection and a genuine passion for music. Every record that passes through my hands is carefully selected, cleaned, and presented with its unique story and cultural context. I'm not just selling vinyl—I'm sharing my love for music and helping you discover that one special record you didn't even know you were looking for.
-
I believe record collecting should be accessible to everyone. My pricing philosophy is fair, transparent, and based on several factors:
Record condition (both vinyl and sleeve)
Popularity and demand
Rarity and pressing information
Year and country of release
Label and historical significance
I use the Goldmine Grading Standard as seen on Discogs' grading guide to evaluate each record. I constantly research current market values to ensure my pricing reflects fair market rates while remaining as accessible as possible.
-
Every record goes through my personal preparation process:
Hand-cleaning with professional record cleaning solution
Dust removal with a microfiber brush
Sleeve repair (if needed) using archival materials
Removal of old price stickers (when possible without causing damage)
Replacement of damaged inner or outer sleeves
Final inspection and play-testing
This process ensures that each record meets my quality standards before it reaches your collection.
-
I accept a variety of payment methods to make your shopping experience as convenient as possible. These include:
Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
PayPal
Venmo
Apple Pay
Google Pay
All transactions are processed through Squarespace's secure payment system, which uses industry-standard encryption to protect your personal and financial information. I never store your payment details on my servers.
-
I take great care in shipping your records safely:
Each record is cleaned and inspected before packing
Records are placed in a protective inner sleeve
Outer sleeves are protected with a clear poly sleeve
Wrapped in gold tissue paper
Packaged in sturdy 12"×12" vinyl shipping boxes
Protected with either cardboard inserts or bubble wrap
Each package includes "Fragile" stickers
A detailed catalog card with your record's information
A handwritten personal note
A Latin Gold Records postcard and sticker
Your records aren't just products—they're musical artifacts that deserve careful handling from my collection to yours.
